10 Places to Get Vegan Nachos in LA

There's nothing better than a giant plate of nachos after a long day at work. Well, maybe a giant plate of nachos AND a giant margarita, but let's start with the nachos. Here are 10 places in LA to get vegan nachos.

1. Swinger’s Diner
8020 Beverly Blvd and 802 Broadway, Santa Monica

A retro diner with a plethora of vegan classics? Sign us up! Look for the thumbs up icon for vegan options, or trust us and give their vegan nachos a try. Topped with all the traditional fixings, in addition to soyrizo, this dish gets a VegOut thumbs up!

2. Flore Vegan Cuisine
3818 Sunset Blvd

Blue tortilla chips topped with nacho “cheese”, shredded lettuce, “sour cream”, and Pico de Gallo. Yum! You can order this dish as is, or add avocado, black beans, or Eastsider Taco Seitan.

3. My Vegan Gold
4319 Sunset Blvd

This completely vegan menu may make your decision difficult, so let us help you out a bit. Give the Nacho Supreme a try! Topped with Pico, guacamole, jalapenos, black beans and homemade nacho cheese, this sharable appetizer is not to disappoint. Can’t get enough of the cheese sauce? Try it on crispy shoe-string fries; a dish they like to call Nacho Cheese Bomb Fries.

4. Millie’s Cafe
3524 Sunset Blvd

While not exactly “nachos”, Millie’s serves up chilaquiles that can be made vegan on request. Chilaquiles is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of a corn chip base and served for breakfast. Vegan nachos for breakfast? Absolutely!

5. Native Foods
1114 Gayley Ave

Native Foods offers delicious plant-based dishes in a flash. Try out the Native Nachos served with Native Cashew Cheese, roasted corn, green onions, and more. Order it with one of their plant-based proteins: Native Seitan Taco Meat or BBQ Native Chicken. Check out our previous post for more VegOut Native favorites.

6. Sage Vegan Bistro
1700 West Sunset Blvd

This plant-based, farm-to-table bistro offers Jackfruit Nachos. Yup, you heard it right, Jackfruit Nachos! You’ll find these on the lunch menu, but you can order them for dinner as well. These nachos are served with the usual suspects, plus garlic aioli, yum! As if that wasn’t enough, Sage offers a vegan mole sauce for a small upcharge.

7. Elderberries Threefold Café
7564 W Sunset Blvd

If you’re looking for nachos, this café certainly offers variety. The raw nachos include a kale chip base, raw chili, chipotle cashew cheese, avocado, and Pico. If you’re thinking, “What the kale?!”, Elderberries offers traditional nachos and chips with house-made vegan queso too.

8. Gracias Madre
8905 Melrose Ave.

A heaping plate of house-made tortilla chips, black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, cashew nacho cheese, chorizo, salsa verde, and cilantro make these nachos our favorite in the city (pictured above, courtesy of Gracias Madre). Bonus, come here during Happy Hour (M-F 3-6pm) and pay only $6.

9. Café Gratitude
Multiple Locations

I am… sharing (maybe). Café Gratitude’s sharable nachos are to die for, and with cashew cheese and spicy pepitas, you’re sure to agree. Check out the selection of plant-based options offered here ranging from pizza to Pad Thai to cauliflower samosas.

10. Golden Mean Café
1028 Wilshire Blvd

This modest organic vegan café offers true plant-based variety and a delicious combination of flavors and cuisines. Of course, we’re talking nachos today, so give the baked nachos a try with all the fixings served on cactus tortilla chips. Add vegan chicken, or go for the supreme style nachos topped with vegan sausage and ground beef.
