Vegan Options Expanding at Old Dog Tavern
One of our favorite Kzoo taverns just got a little more vegan. Old Dog’s menu will now include Vegan Diablo Pizza using Provisions Vegan mozzarella and chorizo as well as BBQ Vegan Short Ribs. Be sure to check it out.
Vegan Options Growing In Coloma
The folks at Water & Wheat just announced they are bringing their vegan cuisine to Hagar Beach in Coloma this July. Be on the lookout for tasty vegan fare to enjoy on Lake Michigan.

Join Veg Lakeshore for a plant-based Dutch-inspired potluck this Monday. There will be a variety of meatless dishes to enjoy in addition to a guest speaker. Don Triezenberg will be speaking on the topic of climate change. If this interests you, be sure to get involved!
Tuesday, May 22
Interested in getting involved with your local Humane Society? Here is your chance. The Battle Creek location will be holding their annual meeting this Tuesday.
Kim of Plant Based Roots will be offering a guided tour of Lee’s Oriental Market in GR. The tour will also include easy, authentic vegan recipes to try at home.

Thursday, May 24
Ready to explore different food cultures around the world? Feed the World Cafe will be hosting an international trip for the tastebuds this Thursday. The menu will include 5 courses of all-vegan cuisine. Courses will include influences from Japan, Africa, Cuba, Italy, and China. You definitely don’t want to miss this!
Pop in on Thursday and 20% of your food order will be donated to Carol’s Ferals, a local nonprofit agency assisting in the proper care of our feline friends. This pizzeria offers build-your-own vegan pizzas, just ask.
Hey cat lovers! Pop into the cat lounge for a cat-themed painting class surrounded by feline friends this Thursday.
Traditional German restaurant, Chau Haus, offers Vegan Pierogi, Stuffed Cabbage, and Kapusta, among other vegan items at their weekly Polish Night. The celebrations are held both Thursday and Friday evenings each week.

The fun continues on Friday as well. Pop in for Polish Night and try some tasty vegan fare.
Saturday, May 26
Michigan City will be hosting its second annual food truck festival this weekend. Several food trucks will be present and you can expect to find vegan options including french fries, cupcakes, slushies, and more.
You can expect over 100 vendors, from farmers and food producers to vegan-friendly food trucks and live performers to lead you through the summer. Head on down and see what the market has to offer!
Sunday, May 27
Can’t make the Kalamazoo Farmers Market on Saturday? Head over to the Portage Market on Sunday to pick up some local produce and tasty eats.
The Kzoo Cat Café is hosting a beginner yoga class surrounded by adoptable rescue kitties. Spend an hour flowing with the felines followed by another hour playing with them. The café plans to continue hosting this event each Sunday through at least the end of the month.
